Purpose built Model Boating Lake which is situated on Rotten Row, Southport -about 20 minutes stroll from Beaucliffe Holiday Flats.

The lake is a public facility.

 

Model Railway Village. is ideal for kids who love trains, many spend all day watching their favourite locomotive as it meanders around the 1.5 acres of beautiful miniature landscape. Parents can sit and relax in peace and tranquillity, whilst keeping a close eye on their children in this sheltered and highly secure environment.

Gift shop, café with tea gardens and toilet facilities. Plenty of places for a picnic.

For art lovers, the Atkinson Art Gallery housed within the Southport Arts Centre is well worth a visit.

The collection includes nineteenth and twentieth century watercolours, and Victorian and twentieth century oil paintings.

Recently rebuilt with a tram ride to the superb cafe and various attractions most weekends including the good old penny slot machines!

 

Botanic Gardens

Originally opened in 1874 these classic Victorian gardens are rich in history and beauty. The gardens are packed with floral displays and wildlife and boast a winding lake the length of the park. Take a boat trip or enjoy one of the many walks.

Botanic Gardens Café, Gift shop, Pottery shop and Museum. Free parking. In easy reach of Southport by car and by public transport. There is a regular bus service from Lord Street.

 

Ocean Plaza retail and Leisure complex is only 5 minutes walk from  Beaucliffe Holiday Flats.

 

Model Engineers have an excellent scale track and regularly run sit on  excursions around their track which encompasses the Model Boating Lake-

Rotten Row, Southport.
